Chinese University and Education System
The Chinese education system is managed by the Ministry of Education and consists of various levels:
Bachelor's Degree (4-5 Years)
Programs are typically 4 years, with medicine and engineering extending to 5-6 years. Both Chinese and English-taught programs are available.
Master's Degree (2-3 Years)
Master's programs are offered in academic and professional categories with thesis or project-based graduation options.
PhD (3-4 Years)
Doctoral programs are research-focused with fully funded positions widely available.
Language Programs (HSK Preparation)
Chinese language programs range from 6 months to 2 years, preparing students for the HSK examination.

Passport
Original passport and photocopy. Must be valid for at least 12 months after education ends. At least 2 blank visa pages required.
Biometric Photo
3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background, 6 printed copies + JPG digital copy
Education Documents
High school diploma and transcript. Notarization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese Consulate approvals required. English translations must also be prepared.
Criminal Record
Must be obtained within the last 6 months. Must be approved by notary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese Consulate.
Health Report
Must be prepared according to the official health form accepted by China. Must be in English and stamped by the hospital. Valid for 6 months.
Financial Status Document
Sponsor letter and bank statement showing at least 30,000 RMB equivalent in the bank

China Scholarships and Financial Support 2026

Application Process
Phase 1 - Document Preparation: Obtaining notary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese Consulate approvals for diplomas, transcripts and criminal record certificates in Turkey. Duration: Approximately 30-45 days
Phase 2 - University Application: Register to the university's online system, upload documents, fill out application form, pay registration fee.
Phase 3 - Acceptance Process: University reviews the application. After approval, Acceptance Letter and JW201 Visa Document are sent to the student.
Phase 4 - Chinese Student Visa Application: X2 Student Visa for education less than 6 months, X1 Student Visa for education longer than 6 months
Phase 5 - Entry to China and Registration: Student registers at the university and completes dormitory procedures. Those entering with X1 visa must obtain a Residence Permit within 30 days.

- •Chinese authorities do not accept only notary approval. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese Consulate approvals are mandatory.
- •Health report and criminal record certificates are valid for 6 months.
- •Registration fees are non-refundable.
- •Dormitory fees do not include electricity, water and internet expenses.
